High School Cheerleader Responsibilities

All high school cheerleaders will attend mandatory camp and choreography camp together. All high school cheerleaders will perform in each pep rally.

Who will cheer at JV games vs varsity games each week will be determined by tests of knowledge of gameday material (cheers, chants/sidelines, and band dances), and submission of weekly individual practice videos (after choreo camp).

All High School Cheerleaders will travel together to all competitions, though some will travel as alternates. Who makes mat for each competition will be determined at choreography camp and re-evaluated throughout the year based upon work ethic and skills needed for the choreography set.

Junior High Cheerleader Responsibilities

Junior High Cheerleaders will attend mandatory cheer camp at AHS at the end of July (dates TBD). They will perform one cheer at each pep rally and will cheer at the 7th and 8th grade games.

26-27 High School Cheer Mandatory Dates
  • Monday March 16, 6:00pm- HS Cheer Team Meeting
  • Monday March 23, ASAP after school and/or athletic practices- Fittings with Varsity Spirit
    • I will get measurements in advance for those who will be competing in the JH track meet that day
  • May 28-31- UCA Camp at Great Wolf Lodge
  • June 12-13- Choreography Camp at AHS
26-27 JH Cheer Mandatory Dates
  • Monday, March 16, 7:00pm- JH Cheer Parent Meeting, AISD Board Room
  • Monday, March 23, after school- JH Cheer fittings with Varsity Spirit. Details will be given at parent meeting
    • Measurements will be taken in advance for those participating in the JH track meet
  • End of July (dates TBD)- JH Cheer Camp
